White Sheet Stories project started as a podcast where I shared personal conversations with strangers, friends and family. As time went by, I have noticed that the conversations I have with women and about women touched me more. I, however, felt that podcast then is not ‘universal’ if it only talks about female issues. But as I began to learn more about feminism, I have found that stories about women are truly ignored in the media (According to Media Monitoring Project, in 2015, found that ‘women make up only 24% of the persons heard, read about or seen in newspaper, television and radio news, exactly as they did in 2010’). Therefore I decided to continue the project dedicating it to women and celebrating female narratives.
